depth of feel

When you first glance at this photo, you can see the model's shoes, in focus. The photo is sort of busy as the shoes are scattered with grass and the model, Jaida, is playing with her hair in the background. The work is figurative.
The image is vague and relaxed, and there is a suddle  feel to it. There are lots of shapes and curves and the photo is slightly crooked. Also, the image is in partially in focus, this was intentional as I stood there for like ten minutes trying to focus and adjust to get this exact picture.
While developing these in the dark room, my first attempt turned out to dark while the second was too light, so I edited the photo with more contrast and less light, which is what I had imagined for my image. And the photo was taken outdoors in the pretty sun atop a nasty dumpster.
I believe this work was successful. When i see it, it makes me feel acomplished as this was exactly what i was going for. I appreciated how the shoe was in focus and everything else was not. it is artsy to me, and I have never really intentionally taken a photo like that, and I think it fairly administered the relevance of the assignment. I am pleased with the work, but that is just my own opinion.
